Once again, a client could not find the right piece for their space. When they did find what they liked(online), it was the wrong color. Problem solved- a business that specializes in amazing woodwork was contacted to build from the inspiration piece. The silver is where I came in because they wanted unique texture and silver foil. When I finished my part I brought the pieces back to the woodworkers and they assembled the furniture. Go team.

I call this one- Basement Art.
I have noticed a trend in client requests lately. Custom. Custom. Custom. Handpainted this, handcrafted that. And I don't think that it's a competition to have the most expensive piece per se. But I do know that they do not want to admire megapixels on their new, shiny painting. More want texture, and tone, and depth. Not a gesso-coated print.
