Hand painted and glazed cabinets.
I have reached a place in my career that makes me think that I actually know what I'm doing. When a stranger with a lovely voice calls and says, "My extremely picky, borderline OCD husband built this cabinet piece. He now wants you to pick a color and put a subtle glaze on it. We were told to call you." Of coarse I was flattered, but I will not accept a job if I don't feel that I can execute it with a professional finish and in a timely manner. Create a piece that respects and 'fits right in' with the homeowners decor. They are the ones who have to look at it every day. Let your business name bring a smile to their face.

Classic and traditional.
It is easier to faux walls when the client already has the pieces that will go in the room. There are no surprises or "I would have done something different" thoughts. When you are asked to paint in gold you have to find out what tone. Some golds are more yellow and some golds are more green. This foyer is an example of a gold with more green pigment.

Before and after.
For 8 years I have admired a particular home from the road. One day I received a phone call as a referral from a very reputable paint company. The client wanted faux finishing inside the home. That was last year. The same client called me to come over and look at an exterior arcade that had water damage. Modern construction products are amazing and innovative, but this is a perfect example of how they can be affected by nature. Even though these 'stones' appear true, they are not. The color was stripped away over a period of about 6 years. Their trust in me saved them thousands of dollars in repairs.
