Louisville Faux- Mirror, mirror on the wall..

This is the coolest bathroom of them all. Before shot is with the mirrors off the walls exposing a previous faux finish. Walls became deep bronze and gold to enhance the impact that the mirror collection brings.

Louisville Faux- Dining room in a HOME.

You might be wondering why the word HOME is in all capital letters. I feel the word 'home' is misused. When I think of home, it includes comfort, laughter, respect, love, and history. I had the honor of painting in such HOME the other day. I wanted to stay and wait for the owners to return home from work. I had questions about the kitchen utensils, among many other collectibles, saturating the walls that had to be a hundred years old. I giggled at the 12 inch flat screen that looked so modern next to furniture that was built by American hands. I wanted to stay for supper. I wanted to hear how this wonderful couple met and fell in love. I respected the fact that it was an honor to be trusted to paint in their home. For the past few weeks I have had the luck of working for clients that know what the meaning of home is. So much of an influence that I have taken a step back to reflect on my own home in the attempts to contribute what these clients have so successfully achieved. And that is to make sure to look over, think about, and respect every item that is purchased or collected. That buying items just for the sake of buying them gets you nowhere. Unless that 's your style. And if that's the case, I guess you'll be lucky not to get an ear full of questions from me.
This cozy dining room changed in color saturation as the day carried on. I tried to catch the difference
in how the walls reacted to a decorative finish with a new photo every hour and on a different wall.
The walls are simple, but from what I hear, they will soon be back to their adorned lovely self.
