Many times I am asked to match one decorative finish to another. In this case the canopy, the small circular piece at the top of the light fixture that covers the hardware attachments to the ceiling, came in a silver and gold leaf finish. A standard white medallion was matched to the canopy and the project turned out beautiful.

Louisville Faux-Portraits.
This is Henry. I have had the pleasure of knowing his grandma as both a client and friend, and I have worked in her home for the past four years. She gave her only daughter this portrait as a Christmas gift. Henry is their first child and he is the first grandchild born into this wonderful family.

Louisville faux- Dining room trey ceiling.
One way to spruce up a room is to bring out architecture that is usually left painted a simple base coat. Crown moulding is lost and eyes does not move upward for one more exciting addition to interior design. Experience does pay off when glazing a space such as this. The walls are usually not in good shape, the finish is uneven, and seams are temperamental. Leave these areas to the professionals that know how to repair and enhance the true beauty of a trey ceiling.

Louisville Faux-Silver Leaf Cabinets.
Using silver leaf as a decorative finish to this scale is quite a challenge. These cabinets are located in a master bath, which means that the cabinets must be durable enough to bear the elements. Quality is a must from start to finish.

Louisville Faux- Hand painted metallics.
Metallic paint is difficult, but worth it. The finishes are luxurious and beautiful to the eye. I believe the key to a successful outcome is multiple tones and textures. These pieces have a wide variety of silver, gold and bronze. Layering the tones is important because it gives depth and a more professional look. I was once told by one of my art professors that you are to never paint straight from the tube, tray, or can. May not be a great idea for touch ups, but it's great for the career.
