I find it amusing that I get asked all the time to make something look rustic, or old, or antique. In this farmhouse laundry room, the cabinets were painted with a special metallic paint that rusts and patinas. There is an element of surprise with this technique because the materials are the real deal. It is a real rust and a real patina. Thanks to modern times, I can get the finish in a matter of minutes instead of years. Cool, huh?
